Damian Miller is the co-founder and CEO of Orb Energy - one of India’s leading solar energy companies. Orb Energy was recently ranked third in India’s rooftop solar industry (by JMK Research and Analytics) for the financial year ending March ‘25. Orb is unique in being vertically integrated from manufacturing solar panels, to system design and installation, to after-sales service, and critically, to offering its own finance to C&I customers. Prior to launching Orb Energy, Damian worked for Shell Solar from 1998 to 2006, as head of their off-grid solar business in emerging markets in Asia and Africa. Damian has a PhD from Cambridge University (Trinity College) in the early commercialisation of solar energy in emerging markets, and is the author of the book, Selling Solar (published by Routledge).
