Dr Louise Brown is CEO and Co-Founder of HydGene Renewables. Under Louise’s leadership, HydGene has grown from university research into a global industrial biotechnology company developing a new way to produce fertilisers, fuels and chemicals locally from waste biomass. A bioengineer with more than 20 years’ experience in biotechnology and synthetic biology, Louise co-founded HydGene following an academic career at Macquarie University. Today, HydGene’s proprietary biocatalyst technology has achieved more than 20,000 hours of continuous operation and is moving into its first customer deployments, supported by collaborations with leading global energy, engineering and industrial companies including Shell and Technip Energies.
