Samarpann (India)
Samarpann is a grassroots organization transforming education and health outcomes for children in rural India. For over a decade, it has worked across 300+ underserved government schools, impacting over 45,000 children to ensure that basic rights, like clean water, electricity, menstrual hygiene, and learning tools, are no longer privileges but guarantees.
Through its flagship initiative of solar electrification in schools and childcare centers in some of India’s remotest villages, Samarpann is bringing light to classrooms where children once studied in the dark. while enabling access to digital learning and offsetting nearly 29 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually. Simultaneously, water treatment plants are being installed in schools where waterborne illnesses were once rampant, ensuring children have access to clean, safe drinking water every day.
For its impact, Samarpann has been recognized with three consecutive awards by the Government of Rajasthan, and its founders have been honored by the British Council for Social Impact.
